Dora W, age 17, Beth M, age 13, Ethel F, age 11, Margaret B and Blanche M, both age 7, Mabel M, age 5, and Mary M M, age 2.   All were born in Babbacombe except Mabel born in Newton Abbot.

In the 1891 census Ellen, age 51, and her family were still living at
7 Portland Road
Dora had left and there was another daughter Ada, age 9, born Babbacombe.   Bertha (Beth in 1881) was a dress milliner; Ethel and Blanche were dressmakers; Margret was a national school teacher; Mabel was a dressmaker apprentice; Mary is listed as Bessie.

her husband
John R C Mathews, age 67, carpenter, born Torquay, Devon
and daughters
Margaret B, age 27, Elementary School Teacher; Mary, age 22, barmaid; Ada E., age 19, dressmaker.   All are shown as being born in Torquay, Devon.
